David Greenland
Managing Director
David Greenland is the leader of the Australian business of Carlson Wagonlit and
holds ultimate responsibility for its performance and results. Critical to this is his ability to
ensure the core business functions of Traveller & Transaction Services, Human Resources, Sales,
Program Management, Information Technology and Finance are aligned with the plans and goals of the
company in these areas at a Regional and Global level as well.
Since assuming this role in June 2008 David has been extremely active in refocusing the
business to ensure it is highly client focused and taking the necessary steps to maintain maximum
relevance and value to clients and prospects. Joining Carlson Wagonlit in early 2001 David brought
with him 15 years of extensive travel industry experience gained in Australia, New Zealand and the
United Kingdom with airlines and in travel marketing. He was then general manager of an Australian
travel management company before joining CWT.
Prior to becoming Managing Director – Australia, David was Vice President of Account
Management for the Asia Pacific region. In this role he was instrumental in developing the
necessary program management structures, tools and processes for our clients with a particular
focus on our Global Accounts. He was, and remains today, a member of the Asia Pacific Regional
Leadership Group which designs and executes the business plans for the region.
