Nick Vournakis

As Senior Vice President and General Manager for Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) Canada, Nick Vournakis is responsible for overseeing all of Carlson Wagonlit Travel's Canadian operations including the company's overall management, client and supplier relationships, marketing, branding and strategic partnerships. Vournakis, a member of the North American Executive Council, is based in Toronto, and reports directly to Jack O’Neill, President, Carlson Wagonlit Travel North America.
Since joining Carlson Wagonlit Travel in 2000, Vournakis has worked in a variety of roles including Vice President, CWT Solutions Group and Director, Air Solutions Group. During his tenure he played an integral role in driving profitable growth for the organization, delivering significant client savings and overseeing all facets of the consulting business ranging from product development to talent development.
Prior to joining Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Vournakis developed consulting and strategy expertise with Ernst & Young Management Consulting. Vournakis holds a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Economics and Management Information Systems from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Vournakis is a recipient of CWT’s top honour, the Imperial Honor Award, for delivering superior customer service to one of CWT’s largest customers.
