Detlef Krimmel, Director Human Resources & Legal Germany, Austria & Eastern Europe
Detlef Krimmel (born 1959) has been Director Human Resources & Legal Germany, Austria & Eastern Europe since 1 October 2004. Together with his team he is responsible for Human Resources Services, Development and Management and for the cooperation with the workers’ councils. After obtaining a degree in Law, Detlef Krimmel began his professional career in 1988 in the Human Resources Department at Deutsche Lufthansa AG. There he was responsible for negotiating with the air staff's trade union representatives and for counseling operative staff in matters of labor law. Between 1991 and 1999 he worked in the REWE trade group as Human Resources Manager. During this time he first managed the Human Resources units of Logistics and IT enterprises in the group and then took over responsibility for the staff of enterprises in the Specialist Retail Trade and the Cash & Carry wholesale trade. His last position before joining Carlson Wagonlit Travel was HR Manager and Employee Services Leader at Honeywell Germany. There he was responsible for expanding personnel services for this corporation in Germany. On 1 July 2001, he changed to CWT as Director Human Resources Germany. On 1 March 2002, he also became responsible for Austria and on 1 October 2004 for the East European CWT countries.
