SAS: One Way flights to Scandinavia starting at 70 euros

New and simple fare concept offers a number of benefits for customers
No advance booking period and no minimum length of stay
Valid on approximately 300 weekly flights from nine German airports

SAS introduced its new One Way airfare concept for flights originating from Germany to all SAS destinations in Northern and Eastern Europe. SAS One Way offers are available starting at 70 euros, including taxes and fees (plus a € 10,- CWT service charge). Among the many benefits of the One Way concept is the elimination of regulations such as pre-booking and minimum-stay requirements, thus making air travel far easier and more flexible.

“We are convinced that our One Way concept will be a success in Germany, because it is precisely what our customers desire. It is also significant that the One Way Prices are the same no matter which purchasing method is used, whether it is our homepage, a local travel agency or any other sales channel”, says Christian Hylander, Director of SAS Germany in Frankfurt.

A base price of € 70,- for Economy Class is in effect for all direct flights departing from Germany (including taxes and fees, excluding CWZ service charge and with limited availability). On certain SAS routes, such as Berlin-Copenhagen, fares are even lower.

SAS offers weekly over 300 flights to Scandinavia from nine German airports. Via the Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo hubs, our passengers can travel to over 80 destinations in Scandinavia, Finland, the Baltic States, Poland and Russia.

Three service classes: Economy, Economy Flex and Business

The flexibility of the SAS One Way concept also makes it possible to select different service classes for the departing and return flights. On flights inside Europe, passengers can choose between Economy, Economy Flex and Business. It is thus possible to book Economy Class for the departing trip and Business Class for the return, to give just one example of the numerous possibilities which are open to passengers.

Our Business Class offers passengers superior comfort combined with full ticket flexibility. Other service attributes of Business Class travel include Business Class check-in counters, lounge access, an unoccupied center seat as well as excellent food and drink. Economy Flex passengers enjoy the benefits of a flexible ticket, check-in at EuroBonus Gold and Business Class counters in Scandinavia and free in-flight meals and drinks. Our Economy Class is the right choice for SAS customers who are looking for a great price know the exact dates on which they want to fly. With Economy Class, rebooking or cancellation is not possible.

SAS features the latest new recliner seats in its Business Class

A340 Business SitzLong-distance flights are a strain on both the body and the mind. In addition to the disorientation caused by jet lag, long periods of restricted motion and a limited ability to stretch out and relax can be a source of physical and mental strain. This problem is often particularly acute in the case of frequent flyers, since in many cases these individuals must be at their best immediately following landing due to the demands of their work .

With this in mind, SAS Scandinavian Airlines strives to ensure its Business Class passengers an extraordinarily comfortable journey. In our Business Class, we place utmost emphasis on our passengers’ convenience and well-being, whether they are getting work done on a laptop, enjoying our state-of-the-art entertainment offerings or sleeping the miles away in our modern new recliner chairs. A new highlight this year is the extraordinary design of our sleeper chair, which pampers travellers with generous amounts of personal space. When the seatback is fully reclined, this seat features an ample, almost fully horizontal sleeping surface measuring 1.9 meters in length.

Integrated power outlets on our new sleeper chairs make it possible for passengers to remain productive with their laptops while in flight. When a bit of relaxation is called for, our entertainment system can be used to enjoy a wide variety of films, radio stations or video games which can be started or paused at any time as the passenger desires.

An exclusive dining experience is available to our SAS Business Class in the form of four choice main course dishes and a selection of fine wines. Between mealtimes, passengers are free to take advantage of our in-flight buffet, espresso bar, fruits, snacks and other delicious treats whenever they desire.

The new SAS Business Class can be experienced right now on our Shanghai, Bangkok and Tokyo routes. The conversion of the remainder of our long-distance fleet is to be carried out this winter. Once this has been completed, passengers will be able to experience the pleasures of the new SAS Business Class on long-haul flights to Beijing, New York, Washington, Chicago and Seattle as well.

SAS Economy Flex and Economy Extra

More and more business travellers are using the benefits of SAS Economy Flex and Economy Extra

With its Economy Flex and Economy Extra service classes, SAS Scandinavian Airlines is seeking to appeal mainly to business travellers looking for the perfect combination of low price, comfort and flexibility in air travel. SAS offers Economy Flex in conjunction with its inner-European flights, while Economy Extra is for intercontinental SAS flights to Asia and the United States. Full ticket flexibility is one of the key advantages of Economy Flex and Economy Extra, which are positioned between Economy and Business Class in terms of price and service. With Economy Flex and Economy Extra, rebooking is permitted at no extra charge and, should a business meeting be called off unexpectedly, the ticket can be cancelled even at short notice prior to the flight. And booking an Economy Flex or Economy Extra ticket is a particularly good idea for members of the SAS EuroBonus frequent flyer program, because in doing so the amount of bonus points awarded is 50 percent greater than those awarded for an Economy booking.

On long-haul flights, SAS pampers its Economy Extra guests with wider seats and a greater distance between seats in a dedicated cabin along with a delicious three-course meal and an integrated laptop power outlet in the seat.

Economy Flex guests can also take advantage of extras such as Fast Track Security or internet check-in at Scandinavian airports.
