Sixt AGM focuses on global expansion
Sixt AG, the global provider of high-quality mobility services, is rapidly expanding its international network. Since the start of 2006, Sixt has launched its business in nine new countries with strong local franchise partners: Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Bahrain, Chile, Mongolia, Moldova, Pakistan and Singapore. In Costa Rica and India, operating business has gone well following the conclusion of franchise agreements in fall 2005. In Spain, Sixt opened two of its own car-rental offices in January 2006 in Majorca, which have since done very well. This now takes the number of countries where Sixt has its own car-rental offices, or is represented by franchisees, to over 85.
Operating group sales at Sixt outside Germany grew to over EUR 200 million (including franchise sales) in the first half of 2006. This corresponds to a year-on-year rise of well over 20%.
Sixt starts international Miles & More promotion
Earn 2000 air miles when you rent a car abroad from October 1
Sixt AG, Germany's largest car rental company and one of the leading leasing companies independent of any bank or manufacturer, is launching a comprehensive international promotion in cooperation with Miles & More, Lufthansa's worldwide bonus program for frequent flyers. Customers in over 85 countries served by Sixt will soon be able to enjoy exclusive benefits.
From October 1, 2006, customers who rent a car abroad from Sixt will earn 2000 air miles with Miles & More. In order to qualify for the miles, the driver must live in a country other than the one in which they rent the Sixt car. In particular, business travelers who spend a lot of time abroad will benefit from booking with Sixt if they fulfill the conditions. But even travelers on weekend breaks in one of the many major international cities served by Germany's premium airline will be rewarded with additional miles when they rent a Sixt car.
