With rising travel costs and the threat of prolonged economic weakness, many companies have been trimming travel budgets. But while the business travel industry has slowed sharply this year, it is still growing, and Douglas Anderson, president and chief executive of Carlson Wagonlit Travel, sees opportunities aplenty to consolidate its No. 1 position in the travel management industry.
