Air travel and flight tickets

Our staff have a detailed knowledge of flight prices, and are experts in creatively applying price structures and suggesting alternatives. E-ticketing
Carlson Wagonlit Travel only issues electronic tickets. With an e-ticket you don’t have to worry about forgetting or losing your ticket, because your ticket information is stored securely in the airline’s computer system. You can simply go to the check-in desk or machine with your ID, or check in online at home. If you print out your boarding card at home and only have hand baggage, you no longer have to go to the check-in desk at the airport. You can go straight through customs and to your gate, so avoiding long queues and saving yourself a lot of precious time. How to book your ticket:

  • View flight information

 

Before booking, if required, you can check the arrival and departure times for every destination, and so view all travel options and make the best choice. Search flight information. Of course you can also leave this to our business travel consultants.

 

  • Reservations
    You can make a flight reservation by phone, email or online. After the reservation has been made you will receive a travel confirmation giving details of all reserved flights and any other reservations such as hotel accommodation or car rental.
  • Check-in procedure
    Most airlines offer check-in options through their websites, so you no longer have to go to the check-in desk at the airport unless you need to check in baggage. If you don’t want to or aren’t able to check in online, you can go directly to the airline check-in desk or machine at the airport with your printed e-ticket. You will then receive your boarding pass and a receipt for your checked-in baggage.
  • Alterations
    You can alter your reservation by contacting your Carlson Wagonlit Travel team or the relevant airline by phone or email; they can both make alterations to your flight details. If the fare conditions of the ticket require an additional fee for alterations you will be charged for this automatically.
  • Cancellations
    If you wish to cancel your trip please contact Carlson Wagonlit Travel or the relevant airline. You should always inform your Carlson Wagonlit Travel office if you have not used all or part of your ticket, so we can request a reimbursement for the unused portion of the ticket.

 

International trains/ferries
Traveling by train or ferry can be a good alternative to flying. It can be an equally pleasant and comfortable way to travel to your destination. New high-speed rail connections mean your trip is just as short, because you arrive in the heart of the city, as well as being cheaper. The train is the preferred mode of transport for many organizations for travel times of up to three hours, partly because it reduces the impact on the environment.

Carlson Wagonlit Travel issues train tickets for all major European destinations. We also arrange boat and ferry tickets for a large number of international destinations. The tickets are produced and sent to you automatically.

 

Car rental
If you want to have your own transportation abroad, a rental car at your destination is the ideal solution. Carlson Wagonlit Travel can book a rental car to meet your needs together with your other reservation(s). We can arrange for your car to be ready and waiting when you arrive, so you can drive off without delay. Carlson Wagonlit Travel works in partnership with a large number of car rental companies. Travelers don’t like to be faced with unpleasant surprises, so they usually prefer to rent a car from Avis or Hertz./p>

 

Hotel reservations
Your accommodation at your destination is just as important as the trip itself. Carlson Wagonlit Travel has access to the leading international hotel reservation systems, so we can reserve hotel accommodation for you worldwide. If necessary we can also approach hotels that are not included in the reservation system.
