Terms of employment

Welcome to one of the largest travel organizations in the Netherlands, where salary and fringe benefits are competitive. Where the atmosphere is good and informal and where people have the chance to develop themselves and where the balance between work and home is important. The terms of our organization are covered by the collective agreement of the travel branche.

General
You have a lot to offer to CWT, but CWT has a lot to offer to you as well. The salary is competitive, and so are your fringe benefits. The atmosphere is informal and the work is varied. CWT offers the following terms of employment:

  • 40-hour working week
  • 8% holiday allowance
  • at least 25 holidays a year, based on fulltime employment
  • 6,5 shorter working days a year based on a fulltime employment
  • travelling-allowance
  • bonus for every employee within CWT
  • arrangement for compensation of special medical expenses
  • attractive reductions on private travel

It is important to know that CWT encourages you to develop yourself as much as possible. We have a very friendly arrangement for employees’ costs of study.

Your working week
At CWT you can influence your working schedule. Together with your manager you look at the department’s needs and at what is convenient for you. For some positions the possibility of working part time exists.

Variety in you terms of employment
CWT offers a cafetaria model. This means a basic package with a couple of options to fill in the employment contract according to your own personal needs. For instance, you can ‘buy’ extra holidays or get extra salary through ‘selling holidays’ (max 64 hours for a fulltime employment).
It is also possible to use your salary or holidays to pay for a bike through our CWT- bike arrangement.

Reductions
CWT employees profit from interesting reductions, such as:

  • the Personal Private Package (reductions on various insurances and mortgages)
  • attractive reductions on private travel
  • 7,5% reduction via our collective medical insurance
  • 1 international train ticket a year

Pension
As soon as you enter into employment with CWT, you start building up a pension together with your employer. CWT compensates 2/3 of your pension premium, counted over the total length of your employment. As the collective agreement of the travel branche requires that the employer must compensate half of the pension premium, this means that CWT employees benefit from a higher contribution of the employer. The CWT pension is based on the average pay during your employment with CWT. Per year you build up 1,75% of your pension, whilst the CAO requires 1,65%, which means another benefit for CWT employees. Furthermore, you can make extra deposits to your pension. As of your 65th year you can retire.

Course of Life Arrangement and Salary Savings Scheme
If you want to save for unpaid leave, you can use our Course of Life Arrangement. All kinds of situations can occur in your private life that require this extra leave. The arrangement is with Nationale Nederlanden and participation is on a voluntary basis.

If you don’t want to take part in the Course of Life arrangement, you can chose for an attractive Salary Savings Scheme through CWT.
