New CWT Research Shows Increase in Travel Programme Consolidation
More and more multinational companies are consolidating their travel programme. This enables them to reduce their total travel costs by 20 percent on average, according to a new research report published by the CWT Travel Management Institute of Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT), the world’s second-largest travel management company. The global study also shows that nearly three-quarters of companies surveyed believe that consolidation has a positive impact on service and security.

CWT Names Mike Koetting Executive Vice President, Global Supplier Management
Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT), the world’s second-largest travel management company, has promoted Mike Koetting to the newly created position of executive vice president, Global Supplier Management. Mr. Koetting has also been named to the CWT global executive team. In addition, he will remain a member of the CWT North American executive team, providing leadership for select strategic initiatives. Mr. Koetting reports to Hubert Joly, president and chief executive officer. He is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Carlson Wagonlit Travel launch new carbon calculator
A new carbon calculator which allows business travellers to calculate and compare the carbon cost of travel options at the point of booking has been launched by Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT). CWT has been working closely with its client Defra to develop the first phase of the carbon calculator. Use of the carbon calculator will now be rolled out across Defra.
