Earthquake off coast of Indonesia leads to evacuations | April 11, 2012

As reported earlier through numerous CWT Alerts and major media, an 8.6 magnitude earthquake struck early today approximately 434 kilometers (240 miles) off the coast of Indonesia. Following the quake and as a precaution, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center initially issued a tsunami watch for the Indian Ocean. However, the latest information from the center has stated that the tsunami warning has been lifted.

Travelers have reported receiving fraudulent emails regarding travel reservations | April 6, 2012

Multiple U.S.-based airlines are reporting instances where travelers are receiving fraudulent emails pertaining to upcoming travel or frequent flyer information. American Airlines (American), Delta Air Lines (Delta), and US Airways all currently have notices on their websites pertaining to such fraudulent emails or scams.

Suspension of Kingfisher Airlines by IATA | March 9, 2012

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has suspended India’s Kingfisher Airlines from the global carrier-to-carrier account clearing system following non-payment of dues. As a result, CWT is not able to issue air tickets for travel on this airline until further notice.
