Lufthansa German Airlines' pilots strike suspended | 11:00 AM GMT, February 23, 2010
Lufthansa German Airlines has reached an agreement with its pilots union to suspend strike activity
from 11:00 p.m. GMT yesterday until March 8, 2010. The strike had previously been scheduled to last
four days, from midnight Monday, February 22, through Thursday, February 25.
In preparation for the strike, Lufthansa had published a special flight schedule for the
strike period on its website at
www.lufthansa.com. Lufthansa has advised
that the special flight schedule for intercontinental flights will remain in place for today
February 23, 2010.
Lufthansa is recommending that passengers scheduled on flights departing North America today,
who have been rebooked on other airlines, should proceed with those alternate travel arrangements.
For passengers who are scheduled to travel on February 24-25, 2010, Lufthansa is advising that they
should check
www.lufthansa.com throughout the day on
February 23 for updates to the carrier’s schedule. Lufthansa expects a normal flight schedule for
Friday, February 26, 2010.
CWT will continue to monitor the situation and provide additional information as appropriate.
