Air France preparing for potential strike action by several unions February 6-9, 2012 | 10:44 AM GMT, February 3, 2012

As previously reported by CWT Alerts and major media, Air France has begun preparations for the threatened strike action by several of its unions February 6-9, 2012.

Recognizing the uncertainty that may be caused by the potential strike, Air France has advised of the following options for ticketed passengers with reservations during the strike period applicable until February 16, 2012:

Ticket change options
• Travel may be changed to take place February 2-5, 2012. Date changes can be made free of charge in the same cabin of travel.
• Travel may be postponed until February 16, 2012. Date changes can be made free of charge in the same cabin of travel.
• Travel may be postponed from February 17 to April 5, 2012. Date changes may incur a fee and are according to availability at the same fare or by paying the difference with a higher fare.

Additionally, travelers can change their travel destination, point of origin, or postpone travel until after April 5, 2012. Travelers choosing this option should contact their local CWT office prior to February 16, 2012 in order to be eligible for a credit voucher valid for one year on Air France and KLM.

Ticketed passengers whose flights have been cancelled or delayed more than five hours may be subject to a refund minus any service fees.

CWT travelers with requests to rebook flights should contact their CWT office for assistance. CWT also recommends that passengers monitor the carrier’s website at www.airfrance.com for the most current information.

CWT has contingency plans in place to service impacted clients. In the event the strike takes place, there is the potential that callers may experience longer hold times when contacting CWT offices. CWT will continue to monitor the situation and provide additional information as appropriate.
