Carlson Wagonlit Travel appoints Martin Warner as Executive Vice Pesident Global Accounts and Solutions, and Loren Brown Executive Vice Pesident Technology and Product management and CIO

PARIS, July 5th 2005  -  Carlson Wagonlit Travel, a world leader in business travel management, announced today the appointments of Martin Warner as EVP Global Accounts and Solutions, and of Loren Brown as EVP Technology and Product Management and CIO

 

This new organization follows Liliana Frigerio’s departure from CWT to return to her home country, Italy.

 

Martin Warner and Loren Brown continue to be members of the CWT’s Executive Team reporting to Hubert Joly, President and CEO of Carlson Wagonlit Travel.


“These two appointments are consistent with our development strategy,” stated Hubert Joly. “ Regrouping Global Sales, Account Management and Solutions will further consolidate relationship with large global clients and provide them with a global, holistic optimization of their travel program. Combining Information Technology and Product Management will strengthen the global development and roll out of our technology products”, he added. 

 


Martin Warner was previously CWT’s EVP Global Sales and Marketing. In addition to Global Sales, he will now oversee the Global Account Management function as well as CWT’s global travel management consulting business (CWT Solutions Group). Martin has extensive experience in the travel industry in the areas of operations, sales, account management, marketing and industry relations. From 1997 to 2003, he was vice president of Sales and Account Management for CWT in Asia Pacific and Latin America. Based in Sydney, he then held specific responsibilities for developing sales and account management, CWT Solutions Group and the Industry Relations functions in the region. Prior to this, Martin Warner had been responsible for the Global Account Management of the CWT client relationship with General Electric in 24 countries throughout Europe and Asia Pacific.

A British citizen, Martin Warner joined the company in 1980 in the United Kingdom.

 

Loren Brown was previously Global Chief Information Officer. In addition to Information technology, he will now also be responsible for CWT’s global product portfolio. Loren, who has been ranked among the “Power 20 Travel Technology People” by the magazine Business Travel World in June 2005, is an expert of new and emerging technologies and their application for effective business solutions. Within CWT, he has served in a variety of senior technology roles including product development, production, data and voice systems, and data centre operations. Prior to joining CWT, Loren Brown spent 12 years with Electronic Data Systems.
An American citizen, Loren Brown holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota.
