British Airways has announced it will invest nearly $193 million USD in upgrading its Club World premium class cabins. Improvements will include new lie-flat seats, on-demand entertainment systems with access to 100 films and television programs, and enlarged business class areas that will accommodate eight percent more capacity.
BA’s lie-flat seats will convert into beds six feet in length with electronic privacy dividers, laptop storage areas, power sockets and access to a self-serve kitchen area. First class passengers in Club World will also begin receiving turndown service on overnight flights and new menu options beginning in 2007.
