Delta Air Lines, as part of a broader globalization effort, recently incorporated Spanish-language capability into its self-service kiosks at airports the airline serves in the United States and Puerto Rico. The touch-screen check-in machines are identical to their English-language counterparts and were designed to make the check-in experience more efficient.
Delta has introduced 60 routes to 58 destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean over the past two years, and the new kiosks were designed to cater to the airline’s growing Spanish-speaking customer base. The new Spanish-language kiosks will allow passengers to check in for domestic and international flights, select an earlier flight option, or process frequent flier upgrades. Delta plans to roll out French-language kiosks later this year.

Coach passengers flying on American Airlines (AA) once again may use the lavatory at the front of the plane, located in the first-class section. Policies restricting the use of first-class restrooms were broadly implemented after the events of 9/11, but American Airlines was the only carrier to enforce the rule on all its flights.
The change applies to AA flights within the United States and flights departing from the United States. Federal law still requires that passengers on international flights, originating from foreign airports, use the lavatories within their section of the plane.
