US Airways offers text-messaged flight updates

US Airways has implemented on-demand flight status and frequent flier registration through text messaging. Travelers can now text their flight number to TEXTUS (839887) and will receive an update on their flight arrival, departure, and gate information. Travelers can also text their names, email addresses, and ZIP code to the number and US Airways will register them for the Dividend Miles program. This will provide a temporary Dividend Miles number and then send an email to complete the signup process.
