Denver International Airport (DIA) at the end of 2007 began offering free wireless Internet access in all its terminals and concourses. Airport officials report that Internet use has increased tenfold since the fee, which had been $7.95 USD for 24 hours of access, was eliminated in favor of advertising-supported access.
DIA is the fourth airport in Colorado to offer free wireless Internet access – behind Colorado Springs Airport, Centennial Airport and Vail/Eagle County Regional Airport. Dozens of airports across North America also offer free wireless, including Phoenix Sky Harbor International, San Diego International and Portland International.
