Airline fuel surcharges increasing
As the cost of fuel continues to rise dramatically, many
airlines have increased the “fuel surcharges” they add to the cost of a ticket in response.
Airlines in North America and around the world have taken this approach to offset increasing fuel
costs.

travel?
- 8% responded “Yes, our green initiatives are well developed”
- 20% responded “Yes, but our green initiatives are just getting started”
- 36% responded “No”
- 36% responded “What is a ‘green’ initiative?”
Background: A “green initiative” would be any initiative that puts emphasis on
being environmentally friendly.
CWT Traveler will continue to cover topics related to environmentally friendly business
travel. Beginning this month we are also adding a “Green tip of the month” for environmentally
friendly behaviors on the road, in the office, and at home.
