American Airlines, United Airlines and US Airways recently announced they will no longer allow passengers to check luggage for free.
Beginning in mid-June, each of the three airlines is imposing a fee of $15 USD each way for the first checked bag, in addition to the $25 USD fee each way for the second checked bag.

Certain travelers, usually those with elite status, are exempt from these charges. Click here to access information specific to each airline.
