As a reminder, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secure Flight program will be
reaching a milestone as of August 15. According to the U.S. Transportation Security Administration
(TSA), Secure Flight requires that domestic aircraft operators request and collect passengers’ date
of birth and gender as of August 15, 2009 for their domestic flights (in addition to the previously
required element of full name as shown on the government-issued identification the traveler plans
to use at the airport.)
