EU puts new airlines under a ban
The European Union has published an update of the black list of airlines which are considered unsafe. The airlines are not allowed to enter the European airspace. All airlines from Benin are labelled as unsafe. Furthermore Air Company Kokshetau ATAM Airlines, Berkut Air, East Wing, Sayat Air and Starline KZ (all from Kazachstan), One-Two-Go Airlines (Thailand) and Motor Sich Airlines (Ukraine) are no longer welcome in the EU.
In total more than ninety airlines are on the black list, mostly originating from Africa. Except from the one in Benin all carriers from Angola, Gabon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Liberia, Rwanda, Indonesia and North Korea remain disallowed to the European airspace.
