Use our checklist to plan the perfect Christmas party

You read it right: Christmas! It may seem strange to start thinking about gingerbread and pine trees in the midst of the summer heat. But in fact it’s not too early to start planning your company Christmas party. There is certainly plenty to do – from defining a goal to sending out invitations. And many venues are already fully booked far in advance. More stringent cancellation requirements and higher prices these days make planning events during the Christmas season a real challenge.

So better get started today:
First, clarify the objectives you want your event to achieve. Boosting employee motivation? Reviewing the past year or looking forward to the year ahead? Or all of the above? The target group will be apparent from these considerations. Do you want to invite employees only, for example, or their partners as well? Or also other stakeholders such as dealers, business partners, and others?

Now decide on the scale of the party: a simple restaurant dinner or a big event – maybe even with an overnight stay? Maybe you would like to select a motto, which will determine your choice of program and location. The budget is of course also an important point, as well as the date. The next step is to launch into the detailed planning, including catering, supporting program, and other aspects, culminating in actually inviting the guests.

The rule of thumb is: the more elaborate the planned program and the more participants you expect, the earlier you should start planning.
