Inside the Airport: Vienna

Airports nowadays offer a wide range of services for business travelers, such as border controls without customs officers, comfortable working areas and even a dentist. Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Vienna have plenty of facilities to make your business trip even more comfortable. We end our mini-series about five airports with Vienna Airport.

Travel in style
Whether you are arriving, departing or in-between flights, you can relax in your own private lounge in the VIP Terminal of Vienna International Airport and enjoy the state-of-the-art multimedia technology. In the meantime, a personal assistant will take care of your check-in and drop off your baggage, help with immigration and departure formalities and take you through priority security check. To ensure that you travel in true style, a chauffeur will drive you directly to the plane or pick you up from it (VIP Terminal).

Ideally equipped workstations
Business travelers can take advantage of work spaces with free WiFi at Gates F and G. As an additional service, you can place documents and keys that you do not require on your journey in a safe deposit box. Why not use the collection service for documents to get things done quickly while you are at the airport. All you have to do is leave the name of the person you want to pick up the documents (Baggage Service Center, Terminals 1 and 3).

Easy parking
Simply drop off your car in front of Terminal 3, take your baggage with you and leave the rest to someone else. In Vienna, your car will be parked for you, either in the VIP zone in car park 4 or at a reserved space in parking lot C. When you return, your key will be waiting for you at the desk of parking lot P4. It is open 24/7 (reserve at

Dine in Jamie Oliver’s kitchen
Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver also has a restaurant at Vienna Airport. Sample his linguine with prawns and a spicy fennel and tomato sauce, warm chocolate brownies with caramelized popcorn and ice-cream. Jamie's Italian, a rustic-urban style bistro, serves these and other Italian dishes, from antipasti to home-made pasta and freshly baked pizza as well as delicious deserts like Vin Santo tiramisu (Terminal 3).

The taste of Austria
Gourmets can discover specialties and delicacies from the Alpine republic at Flavors of Austria. The food and beverages are served on original Gmundner ceramics or in Riedl glasses (Terminal 2, after security control). If you shop at Heinemann Duty Free and are traveling within the EU, you can have your shopping kept for you free of charge until you return. Pick it up at the Service Point in the arrival hall (Level 0, Terminal 3) after your trip.
