United: Farewell to the B747 – New B777-300ER serves Frankfurt

After 47 years United Airlines has retired its fleet of Boeing 747-400s, which served the routes on the Atlantic as well as the traffic to the Pacific region. The aircraft, which wrote aviation history under the name “Jumbo”, on his last flight from Frankfurt am Main to San Francisco received a special good-bye end of October 2017 when the firefighters of the airport honored the plane with a great water salute. The successor is already in service: On the nonstop route between Frankfurt and San Francisco operates the all-new state-of-the-art Boeing 777-300ER with completely new developed United Polaris Business Class. On board there are 60 flatbed seats in United Polaris Business Class – globally one of the top offers for intercontinental traveling passengers.
