Immigration and security | USA: More stringent security screening procedures since October

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has implemented new screening procedures for international flights bound for the US since 26 October 2017. The procedures include short security interviews, additional security forms, and more rigorous screening of electronic devices including laptop, tablets and mobile devices. Passengers may be subject to these new screening procedures at check-in, document review or at the boarding gate, and should arrive at the airport early to avoid potential disruption.
