... on three days, in 70,000 steps – we visited ITB Berlin, the leading trade fair for the global travel industry to find answers to the following questions:
What is new? What has changed? What is the same?
Greece and Mallorca are likely to be popular destinations again this year and the fascination with cruises will also continue. Long-distance travel is still in vogue. The presentations by travel destinations in Eastern Europe were very impressive. Not only Macedonia, but also Georgia and Armenia could soon be on your list of places to visit.
Another new feature this year was Berlin Travel Festival, which opened its gates for the first time in 2018 with a focus on sustainable travel. Visitors were able to test a bed in a 14-foot container brought to Berlin especially from DOCKINN Warnemünde, find out what it takes to be a ranger, and meet famous chef Sarah Wiener at the Austrian booth.
The trade fair provided us with a wealth of inspiration, which we will be happy to pass on to you in our CWT Leisure newsletter. You can register for it here.
