This is what our travelers have been asking for – SAS New Experience

SAS is investing in the future and has accommodated many of our travelers' wishes.

Airbus A320neo and new cabins for short- and medium-haul aircraft

At the end of October last year, SAS took delivery of the first of 30 Airbus A320neos. The A320neo is one of the most efficient and quietest aircraft around for short- and medium-haul routes. The cabin of the A320neo has been redesigned too, with a grey and blue color scheme to match the long-haul aircraft. Every seat offers at least 30 inches of legroom. The seats can be reclined by three inches, are comfortably upholstered and equipped with their own USB port that allows electronic devices to be charged during the flight.

Following the A320neo, all the other cabins in the fleet will gradually have new seats installed in by 2019.

All short- and medium-haul aircraft are to be equipped with super-fast WLAN. In future, passengers will be able to work, listen to music or stream videos as if they were on the ground. Installation of on-board WLAN in the aircraft will begin in the second half of 2017.

Premiere for new culinary concept "New Nordic by SAS"

SAS has introduced a new culinary concept under the name "New Nordic by SAS". The inspiration comes from our passengers and the Nordic way of preparing food, where the focus is on local, seasonal produce. SAS passengers now have a selection of culinary delights on offer made from fresh local ingredients, with a focus on taste, quality, function and design and in completely new packaging specially devised to be space-saving and enable convenient eating on board.

The new design is unique and inspired by the "take-away" culture. Lunch and evening meals are packaged as a cube, thus allowing passengers to continue to work, read or watch a film while eating.
