CWT announces it has entered into an agreement to sell its subsidiary Havas Voyages to the Marietton Group

Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT), the global travel management company, has announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell its subsidiary, Havas Voyages, to the Marietton Group.

The signing of the agreement follows a period of consultation with the French Works Council and completion of the sale is expected by the end of the year, subject to clearance from the French Competition Authority.

Bertrand Mabille, CWT’s executive vice president for France & the Mediterranean zone said: "The travel industry is constantly evolving and the resulting digital transformation requires substantial investment. This sale enables CWT to concentrate on our core offering of business travel and remain a market leader both in France and the rest of the world. Havas Voyages has a strong presence in France and the Marietton Group will be an ideal partner to support the expansion of their travel business moving forward.”
