Mariam Alkhal, Director of Traveler Services Australia and New Zealand, wins coveted “ATMC Executive of The Year” award

Australia and New Zealand | 18 March 2016

Mariam Alkhal, Director of Traveler Services Australia and New Zealand, won the coveted “Travel Executive of the Year” award from the ATMC (Association of Travel Management Companies) earlier this month.

Established to represent and promote business travel throughout Australia, ATMC is committed to promoting and recognizing the highest standards of professionalism and customer service in the industry.

Despite a larger than usual number of nominations and stiffer competition this year, Mariam stood out for her remarkable achievements.

At just 31 years of age, Mariam is the youngest member of the Australia and New Zealand leadership team. Since joining CWT as a travel consultant 8 years ago, she went on to lead the entire operations team, and today manages a team of 300 employees located across Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines.

Besides an unwavering commitment to her team, to CWT, and to every customer, Mariam shows a strong sense of collaboration and is passionate about breaking down functional silos and finding better ways of working.

“This award shows the industry that the best is yet to come from us. I am extremely excited and honored to have won on behalf of CWT and my team; without their hard work and support this would not have been possible.”

The team has received 6 more nominations for the upcoming AFTA awards, so we wish them the best of luck, and congratulate Mariam on her win.
