CWT awarded ISO14001 re-accreditation until 2016

LONDON | 02 JANUARY, 2014

Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) has once again successfully achieved ISO14001 accreditation from the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) substantiating that its Environmental Management System (EMS) delivers best practice standards and operates compliant procedures. This is another great step towards achieving the company’s Responsible Business Ambition 2015.

The re-accreditation is valid until 2016 and reaffirms to CWT’s clients and suppliers that it is successfully and actively minimising its environmental impacts of its processes, products and services as a Responsible Travel Management service provider.

An assessor for UKAS thoroughly reviewed and tested CWT’s EMS and highly commended CWT for its achievements in reducing its carbon footprint. They praised CWT for its pro-active attitude to the EMS and its work in guiding, educating and supporting its clients, as recently also recognised by their ICARUS Gold Medal and Outstanding Achievement Awards and Achilles Category A accreditation.

Sandy Moring, senior director, market strategy, business services & sustainability, UK&I, said: “This re-accreditation is an important part of CWT’s responsible business strategy, and means a lot to us as a sustainable business. We are constantly striving to be greener and have appointed ‘green champions’ across the company to further promote our sustainable message.”
