Winners of the 2017 Business Travel Journalism Awards Announced


Journalists covering meetings and business travel honoured

The winners of the 14th annual Business Travel Journalism Awards were announced during a spectacular awards dinner at The Natural History Museum last night.

Following a record number of entries to this year’s awards, journalists from national, consumer, broadcast, and trade media were recognised for their quality coverage on topics relating to business travel and meetings and events.


Cathy Newman, Channel 4 news journalist and broadcaster, hosted the night and was joined by the expert judging panel comprising of business travel and meetings managers, industry experts, and respected journalists.


Organised and promoted by leading travel management company, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, (CWT) the awards are a celebration of the achievements of individual journalists, designers and editorial teams.


Commenting on the awards, CWT’s VP and country director UK & Ireland Johan Wilson said: “Over the last 14 years the BTJAs have grown to be a highly sought-after awards. We’ve never had so many entries, from such a wide breadth of publications. Recognising the quality of journalism in this industry that supports companies in every sector is so important.”


The winners will be treated to lunch at a top London restaurant courtesy of CWT and the sponsors of the awards: Air Canada/United, Avis, Travelport, glh, Aeroflot, China Southern Airlines, Lufthansa Group, Millennium, Gulf Air, Qatar Airways and CWT Meetings & Events.
