Creating a multi-national service centre with Travelport.

Over the last 18 months Travelport and Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) have collaborated on a new way to save a mutual client money.


The No1 TMC CWT and industry giant Travelport have worked together to create an industry first – a multi-national service centre with a mutual client in the financial services industry.


New desktops


Together the teams have developed a new innovative desktop to help this and future clients consolidate their travel programme, make it more efficient and above all, bring more control to the travel programme.


It has for the first time provided a fully-integrated platform that allows a corporate client to consolidate their travel into one centre of excellence. Bringing together the needs of the client and travel management company (TMC), it allows all parties to seamlessly service the needs of their travellers on a global and regional level.


Industry firsts


CWT and Travelport worked together to understand the needs of a client, and deliver a solution that was right for them.


For CWT and Travelport, this has become a unique proposition that can be offered to other corporate clients in the future as the new platform is designed with a flexible and scalable architecture that will allow other customers to come onboard quickly and easily.




Results to date have shown that the financial services company has benefited from increased travel policy compliance and adherence.  They are also now able to access enhanced data, which allows them to focus on opportunities to further reduce travel costs.

In addition, the client has now got access to a dedicated team of 16 consultants, all experts on the clients business and industry.


The future
