The (flight) path to success

Wesco Aircraft Europe worked with CWT to achieve an overall reduction in travel spend, a consistent Service Level Agreement (SLA) and a single business travel policy. CWT also helped enable them to report on (and track) all business travel, and implement an online booking tool (OBT).

 

The process

  • CWT’s dedicated programme manager worked alongside Wesco’s Director of Supply Chain, to improve compliance to business travel policy and drive savings.
  • While implementing the OBT, all Wesco’s preferred GDS and non-GDS hotels were pre-loaded onto the tool, which enabled instant confirmations on bookings.
  • Traveller profiles were set up in a customised CWT Portal site where traveller data, the latest travel information, and access to online booking is provided.
  • Key employees across Europe were given access to CWT’s reporting tool, enabling them to monitor overall spend, compliance and missed savings.

 

The results

 

Wesco achieved a 57% online adoption rate after just two months of using their OBT and 2% missed savings.

 

CO2 emission monitoring was established, as well as traveller tracking capabilities, while daily visibility on bookings enabled Wesco to monitor corporate travel policy compliance.

 

Wesco now benefits from CWT Fares and CWT Value Rates – specially-negotiated air fares and hotel rates – when booking via online and offline channels.
